About the birds and the bees: Iby ~l-zee

The song The Birds and the Bees by Jewel Akens which got stuck in my head ages ago, from an ad (I only remember the tune and a car for some reason). Not sure if I'm allowed to place the lyrics in there though :/

This was my initial response to the Valentine exchange, something light and easy. It seems so much better to step away from all the drama/tension which is what (I hope) I did here. There's a related sketch [link] I didn't manage to finish along these lines too, and it looks like I won't be able to complete it anytime soon

Beside the lettering, the whole thing was done in black and white pens, and coloring pencils - something I haven't done in years. Nice to try old technique again, even if I've gotten worse at it. I tend to go with a cartoony style whenever I do use coloring pencils which is why the animals were just made up/stylized rather than realistic (also couldn't resist putting hearts on the feathers)

ps. This ain't a very valentines Valentine. I can't even think of any related lines to go with this that are good, but well
